Mixed. The Community of St. Michael finds it roots in a Canon Community structure that began to unfold in 2004 under the leadership of The Rev'd Fr. Martin Brokenleg. It was formally established with the permission of the Bishop of New Westminster in 2006 in Vancouver, Canada. Canon Communities of vowed Benedictines form around a local Church, and follow the Rule of St. Benedict adapted to non-cloistered living. Women. Sister Judith OHP, prioress (1999-). Founded 1915 as an educational order; mixture of Benedictine and Celtic spirituality. Light grey habit, black veil, girdle, and OHP silver cross. Mainly engaged in teaching, hospital and university chaplaincies, retreats, conferences and missions. At the request of the former Archbishop of Canterbury, the Lord Runcie of Cuddeson, the community sent two sisters to be a 'praying presence' at Lambeth Palace, the residence of the Archbishop, and also as a witness to the special ministry religious have within the Anglican Communion.

The Community of the Transfiguration, founded in 1898 by Eva Lee Matthews, is a Religious community of women dedicated to the mystery of the Transfiguration.
