Lastly, in those countries where the Faith has been lost, and the parochial work is greater than existing numbers of priests can cope with, many Benedictine monks, by special command of the Holy See, are obliged to reside in parishes, outside their monasteries. They sacrifice some of the personal advantages their vocation offers them to spend their strength and energy in apostolic labor.
